Oíche Scannán Gaeilge (Irish Film Night)

Please join us for TWO Irish film nights, March 21st and March 28th.

On March 21st, we will be showing the documentary Poitín Making as well as Poitínthe first ever feature film in the Irish language. Snacks will be provided in the intermission and samples of poitín or potcheen, Irish moonshine, will be available to try from Restless Spirits, our own KC based distillery. We will have a speaker to take questions after the screenings who is familiar with the culture of the ‘Gaelic Ireland’. The event is free, but please “purchase” a free ticket below to reserve your spot.

On March 28th, we will screen Cré na Cille, a fantastic & dark film based on the Irish language novel of the same name, now translated into English as The Dirty Dust/ Graveyard Clay. This is our book club selection for this month as well, if you are interested in attending the discussion prior to the screening. There will be a Q & A afterwards with a guest speaker.
