Join us for our 6th Annual kickoff to the St. Patrick’s Day Season!
Kicking-off the Irish Season, Irish WinterFest is a celebration of traditional Irish music and dance, featuring local Irish and regional musicians mixed with good food, drink and craic. Now in its 6th year, Irish WinterFest returns to Drexel Hall, the new home of the Kansas City Irish Center.
- 3:00pm – Winterfest – Dáil “…assembly, meeting…”
- 4:30pm – Bagpipe Processional to Redemptorist Church
- 5:00pm – Gaelic Mass at Redemptorist Church
- 6:30pm – Winterfest Evening Performances
During Gaelic Mass, you are welcome to stay at Drexel Hall and enjoy music and our pub.
Performing this year are Bob Reeder, Rob Gavin, Eddie Edwards & Turlach Boylan, & Eddie Delahunt as well as Irish dance by O’Riada-Manning School of Irish Dance, Driscoll School of Irish Dance and Céilí at the Crossroads.
Also returning will be the immensely popular VIP area, which includes Irish Whiskey tastings and specialty food items. This year’s event is being coordinated with the annual Gaelic Mass at Redemptorist Church, just two blocks down the road, with a bagpiper piper leading a procession of WinterFest attendees to the church to Drexel Hall.
The Parade Committee will be announcing their dignitaries for this year’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade and the KC Gaelic Athletic Club will be announcing a new sponsorship and unveiling their new jerseys. Please join us for a great evening for KC’s Irish community.
Great Irish Food will be sold by Browne’s Irish Market. Beer, wine and other fine spirits will also be for sale.
