A Night in Honor of Seamus Heaney Seamus Heaney is widely recognized as one of the major poets of the 20th century. Born in County Derry in Northern Ireland, Heaney received the 1995 Nobel Prize for Literature. Since his passing in 2013, the Irish Center has honored his life and work with an annual celebration. All are welcome to this year’s informal event, which will highlight his works of translation. It wouldn’t be an authentic Irish celebration without Irish hospitality!…
