Waking Ned Devine – May 14

Movie Nights are back at KCIC with the classic Irish film “Waking Ned Devine!” Seating will be limited and spaced to meet COVID protocols.

When Waking Ned Devine was released in 1999, The New York Times raved “We have a winner!” This Irish comedy tells the hilarious – and at times poignant – story of friends pulling together to make a dream come true. When Ned Devine dies from shock after winning the lottery, two longtime friends, Michael and Jackie, discover the body and agree Ned would want them to benefit from his good luck. They embark upon an outrageous scheme to claim the ticket – but first they have to get all the townsfolk to go along with their plan! 

Join us for a fun evening at the Irish Center celebrating friendship, community – and a little bit of Irish luck. Our popcorn machine will be working overtime, and our wee pub will feature Paddy’s Irish Whiskey and a cocktail designed just for this night! 

Doors open at 6 p.m. Film will begin at 7 p.m.

Current COVID protocols will be followed, including limited ticket availability to allow for appropriate distancing of chairs. Masks will be required.
