In Concert: Adrienne O’Shea

The Irish Center is delighted to welcome traditional singer Adrienne O'Shea to Kansas City on May 4!

Experience a gorgeous night of traditional Irish music as Adrienne O’Shea makes her Kansas City Irish Center debut. With a crystal clear voice and impressive command of the Irish flute, Adrienne breathes energy into the rich traditions of Irish song. Accompanied by the remarkable talents of Sean O’Brien, Liam Slattery, and Cormac O Sé, this concert promises to be a feast for the senses, filled with haunting ballads, lush harmonies, and evocative melodies.

A Dublin-born singer steeped in old-world tradition, Adrienne grew up in St. Paul’s vibrant Irish community, shaping a musical style that is both deeply rooted and refreshingly modern. Her acclaimed debut album, Threads of Gold, has drawn comparisons to Cathy Jordan and Lankum, showcasing her bold song choices and exquisite musicianship. A graduate of the University of Limerick’s Traditional Music Performance program, she has studied with Norah Rendell, Karan Casey, Niamh Parsons, and Nell Ní Chróinín. Adrienne represents a new generation of tradition bearers, having absorbed the wisdom of master singers before her while making the tradition her own. With deep respect for the past and a voice that carries it forward, she revitalizes these treasured songs—honoring their essence while shaping their future with her own creative artistry.

This performance begins at 7pm. Doors will open at 6:30pm.

NOTE: Online ticket sales will close 2 hours prior to the listed time for doors opening. Any remaining tickets will be available at the door on a first-come, first-served basis.
