We have chosen to support the Love Fund from Fox 4 with hats, scarves, and mittens for ages 5-17. The Love Fund especially needs mittens. We will also support Rose Brooks with hats, scarves, cowls, or headbands (women and children).
We will have a quick mitten class starting Jan 13 if you want to learn how to make mittens using the mitten pattern from Tin Can Knits (The World’s Simplest Mittens). Please read over the pattern and choose a yarn weight and size to learn how to make them. You must know how to use double point needles. The pattern is for all sizes and all weights of yarn.
We will still use the first Monday of the month that we meet as the Charity Project night.
You can use any pattern you like just make sure to use acrylic. Even if you can’t make it to the Irish Center on Fiber Follies night you can still participate. Just bring your items to the Irish Center by the November 2nd meeting of 2020. We will deliver the items for the Love Fund to the yarn store in Independence with a field trip and lunch early November. We will deliver the items to Rose Brooks with lunch early December.
If you are making hats and wondering what size to make, this is a good reference.
