Irish Culture Night with Katie and Vivienne
A night of Irish comedy, history, language and culture!
They’ll talk about the many fun everyday English words we get from Irish, the slang, the folklore, wild historical stories of Ireland and standup from one of Ireland’s funniest comedians living in the USA!
Gramadach/Basic Irish Grammar: April 2026
Grammar is for people with basic Irish or who have been through an introduction course or similar. Improve your grammar, structure, and understanding in this course. Each class will begin with a short comhrá/conversation session, followed by structured learning. We will be following along with Basic Irish: A Grammar and Workbook by Nancy Stenson, beginning with Chapter 11.
This class will meet from 8:00pm-9:15pm on Wednesdays.
Songs in Irish: April 2026
We will be covering a few songs with Irish lyrics. We will talk about what the lyrics are and what they mean, both within the songs and within the culture. We will cover a couple modern songs and some sean-nós this term.
This class is aimed for mid-level beginners to intermediate levels and will meet from 7:00-8:15pm on Wednesdays.
Continuing Irish IV: April 2026
Continuing Irish IV builds upon our Beginning Irish course. Delve deeper into understanding the history of the Irish language and gain a deeper comprehension of structure and grammar concepts through fun, practical applications of new words. Students will leave being able to hold basic conversations and tell simple stories.
This course is geared at newer Irish language students wishing to continue improving their skills.

Socks in the Frying Pan, a multi-award-winning trio from Ennis, County Clare, Ireland - the mecca of Irish traditional music - was formed in 2014.
